Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. "The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one." 1 Corinthians 10:16-17

Whenever we have our communion services with one another. This includes partaking of the Lord's supper and washing of the brother's and sister's feet. The communion and footwashing happens at least one time a year in all 16 churches, exception of Deerfield church has communion and footwashing two times a year. Communion is the 2nd ordinance that Christ established for the New Testament Church. In order to be partakers of the communions and footwashing, you must have submitted to the first ordinance of the Church - that of baptism. The baptism must be carried out by a Primitive Baptist elder in the Mates Creek Association or one of our sister associations that we fellowship with. This ensures that our congregation is of one mind and one faith and that we are not mixing our church with other religious orders. However, we welcome anyone to come and witness.

"Now for a recompence in the same, (I speak as unto my children,) be ye also enlarged. Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty." 2 Corinthians 6:13-18
